Stabbed in the Back by a Friend – Israel

Israel News - Stabbed in the Back by a Friend

Latest in Israel News –  Being Stabbed in the Back by a Friend is a common occurrence that is typically unexpected. However, when you relate that idea to country vs country, the United States has made itself clear under the Obama administration, that no matter how long we’ve been friends, watch your back.

Being Stabbed in the Back by a Friend Never Leads to Peace

  1. Looking back, it all seemed to begin with the long time Tunisian President, Ben Ali. His administration was considered authoritarian and undemocratic by independent international human rights groups such as Amnesty International, Freedom House, and Protection International. However, since the early 1990s, Ben Ali called for a “concerted” international effort against terrorism and was also a key US partner in the effort to fight global terrorism through the Trans-Saharan Counterterrorism Initiative. Ben Ali was the first to go on the offset of the “Arab Spring,” and was shunned by the U.S., as President Barack Obama completely abandoned Ali, and praised the uprisers stating in a statement that he applauds the, “courage and dignity of the Tunisian people.”
  2. Then not long to follow, we’ve got our participation (in one way or the other) in Egypt during the Arab Spring. Ask Hosni Mubarak where his friends were back in 2012. How can we forget the Obama Administration’s lavish treatment of terrorist group Muslim Brotherhood’s candidate Mohammed Mercy?
  3. Making public exact dates when we were going to pull out of Iraq, then doing as declared, coincidently around the same period of time that ISIS was gaining traction. (Don’t forget that huge weapons cache ISIS “happened” upon… Remember Benghazi?)
  4. Same idea went on in Afghanistan whose Government was working closely with the U.S. since the war broke out in the early 2000’s. Under President Barack Obama, another timetable was set, and we left the barely erected Afghanistan government with little to no chance to defend itself or its people from the re-emergence of the Taliban.

Isn’t there a pattern forming above? In every circumstance, the Obama administration will turn on a political friend and bear an olive branch to either Muslim backed rulers, or the more extreme Muslim faction  between any given two, such as in Syria and the aforementioned countries.

Is Obama a Muslim plant to carry out the will of a silent puppet master, as tens or hundreds of “conspiracy” theories claim? Well, when we look at the present, it really doesn’t appear to be the case. But to look at his actions in the past 8 years, good grief!!!

So on Friday, December 23rd, 2016, we get this lovely nugget of news from all over the place, but here’s a snippet from the New York Times…

UN votes against Israeli settlements as US abstains

The UN Security Council passed a controversial anti-settlement resolution that condemns Israel building in occupied territories.

The US abstained in the vote that was approved by 14 of the council’s 15 members to applause. The resolution first introduced by Egypt in coordination with the Palestinians calls Israel “settlement building” in East Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank a “flagrant violation under international law” and demands Israel discontinue all settlement activities immediately.

A veto by the US – or any of the five permanent members of the council- would have killed it.

Speaking to the body after the vote, Susan Power, the US Ambassador to the United Nations, explained why the White House did not rise to defeat it.

“Further settlement activity is in no way necessary for the security of Israel,” she said.

Power said the White House stand on the issue was consistent with presidential policy going back to the Johnson administration.

You know, Samantha Powers that Obama picked to replace Susan Rice as the US ambassador to the UN? Let’s not forget where her heart is at concerning the issues between Palestinians and Israelis…

The same Samantha Powers that said,”Putting something on the line might mean alienating a domestic constituency of tremendous political and financial import,” back in 2002.

Now, here’s President Obama’s pick explaining why it was important for us to turn our backs on our closest and most reliable ally in the Middle East…

Head of the Israeli Project, Josh Block, condemned the Obama administration from standing back and allowing this resolution to take fruit:

“Siding with such an abomination, ignoring universal calls to stand with our ally Israel, including from all the Democratic leaders in Congress, as well as Republicans, has again isolated this administration from the Democratic Party and further underscores the unusual, extreme and harmful foreign policy of this administration,” Block said in a statement.

“Obama has made it clear that he’s a Jew hating, anti-Semite. He likes Jews who are his friends but not Jews in general,” said Morton Klein, president of the Zionists Organization of America, the country’s oldest pro-Israel organization, before the vote was taken. “Obama is sticking it to the Jewish state of Israel” if the US. abstains or supports the resolution, Klein said on Friday.

Sen. Charles Schumer said he strongly urged the White House to veto the resolution.

“Whatever one’s views are on settlements, anyone who cares about the future of Israel and peace in the region knows that the UN, with its one sidedness, is exactly the wrong forum to bring about peace,” the New York Democrat said in a statement.

“I have spoken directly to the Administration numerous times … and in the strongest terms possible urged them to veto this resolution. I am strongly opposed to the UN putting pressure on Israel through one-sided resolutions. An abstention is not good enough. The Administration must veto this resolution,” the statement said.

Trump tweeted Thursday that the resolution should be vetoed.” ~ From

Way to go Obama, good going Powers, way to watch others backs long enough to drive a screwdriver into it for them! I’m sure there wasn’t any alterior motives involved, like abandoning Israel to embolden the Palestinians, right?

Keep your eyes open for the big 70 country meeting about forcing a two state solution between Palestine and Israel. And isn’t it a coincidence that this meeting that will kick off an attempt to divide up Israel and hand it to the Palestinians, just five days before Donald Trump’s inauguration? Hmmm…

Just remember Kids, being Stabbed in the Back by a Friend still isn’t okay, even if the Obama Administration says it’s justified.
